Rules & required gear
Read this before your first visit. Most of it exists because somebody, somewhere, got hurt doing the opposite.
The rules that never bend
-
Eye protection stays on
Full-seal, rated eye protection stays on your face from the moment you enter the field until a referee calls the area cold. No lifting it to wipe a lens, no exceptions for a quick photo. This is the one rule that gets you sent home on the first offense.
-
Barrel covers on outside the active field
Barrel sock or plug on, magazine out, and safety engaged any time you are off the field. No firing in staging, parking, or any safe zone — markers and replicas are only made live inside the play area.
-
Chrono before you play
Every marker and replica goes over the chronograph before your first game of the day, and again any time you change springs, barrels, or air setup. HPA replicas must be tournament locked. Rate of fire is capped at 25 RPS on everything. Random re-chrono checks happen at any time.
-
Call your hits
Any hit counts — body, gear, weapon, a ricochet you felt. Call it loud, raise your hand or your dead rag, and walk out. Nobody remembers who won. Everybody remembers who cheated.
-
No blind fire
You have to see what you are shooting at. Sticking a barrel around a wall and holding the trigger is how people get hit in the back of the head at two feet.
-
Respect your minimum engagement distance
If a player is inside the MED for the class you are running, do not fire. Transition to a secondary, disengage, or create distance. Your MED comes from your class, not your judgment in the moment — know it before you walk on.
-
Sober play only
No alcohol or drugs before or during play, and none on the property while games are running. Anyone who shows up impaired is sitting the day out.
-
Referee commands are final
Referees can stop a game, pull a player, or shut down a field at any time. Cease fire or blind man means stop shooting immediately, muzzle down, and wait for the all clear.
-
Field paint and field-approved ammo only
Paint comes from us. BBs must meet the posted weight and quality standard — no metal, no ceramic, no bio-alternatives that shatter.
-
Transport replicas covered
Airsoft replicas travel to and from the field in a bag or case with the orange tip intact. Never carry one openly in a parking lot, ever.
Airsoft chronograph and engagement limits
Joules are the controlling limit. FPS is shown for reference and for chrono procedure — a heavier BB at the same energy reads lower on the screen and still passes.
| Class | Max FPS reference |
Test BB | Max joules controlling limit |

Chrono procedure. HPA rifles, gas rifles, gas and CO2 revolvers, and non-blowback pistols may be chronographed with .40g BBs at field discretion, to account for joule creep. Field staff may chrono with .20g, .40g, or .45g BBs at their discretion.
HPA replicas are subject to tournament locks. All limits are subject to referee approval and re-chrono at any time.
Special events and milsim weekends may run different class limits. Check the event rules before you build your loadout.
Paintball limits
Velocity
- All markers
- 280 FPS
- Rate of fire
- Capped — posted on site
280 FPS is the industry standard ceiling and we do not make exceptions to it.
Surrender rule
Close range on the paintball side is handled by the surrender rule rather than a measured distance. If you get the drop on someone inside about 15 feet, offer the surrender before you pull the trigger.
